Comments: Core I represents our inner emotions – the “core of our being”. It is the metaphorical storage vessel of each individual’s inner strength and resilience for life.
Core III introduces the role of fate in our lives. It has seals exhibiting 9 trigrams; each trigram represents an affirmative life message from the I-Ching.
Core V has the double dragon image, a particularly auspicious visual that also represents strength and good fortune.
The three “Core” sculptures together, make a unified and positive statement about life.

Rhythm of the Heart (large)
Admin2018-12-15T15:27:49+11:00Materials: Caste Bronze on Granite Base
Dimensions (mm): 1700H X 800W X 800D
Artist’s Statement:
It comes from the heart and touches the soul: –
the special bond between parent & child
The essence of the Rhythm of the Heart sculpture is a positive, spiritual connection between mother and child, creating a sense of quiet calm.
There is an ambiguity of meaning in Rhythm of the Heart: where the physical heartbeat and the emotional heart are fused into one. In the literal sense, the heartbeat connects the mother and child; from the early days in the womb, to the closeness and security of cuddles in childhood. The emotional heart is an ever present connection binding mother and child beyond the days of childhood.
The musical symbol- the treble clef, is integral to the design and heralds the start of something special that flows, like music, through the lives of two beings- mother and child.
The essence of the Rhythm of the Heart Sculpture is a positive, spiritual connection between mother and child, creating a sense of quiet calm.
